GoldQuest Mining (GQC, TSX-V) hit a new two-and-a-half year high today of 44.5 cents, closing up two pennies at 42.5 cents on CDNX volume of 285,000 shares. This is a company with a lot going for it right now including a very impressive stock chart. The recent appointment of Bill Fisher as Chairman is already having an impact, giving the market an even higher degree of confidence in GQC which is in the midst of an aggressive drill campaign in the Dominican Republic and close to delivering a 43-101 resource estimate on a substantial Lead-Zinc-Silver deposit (Toral) in Spain.
Jon had a fascinating 20-minute discussion with Fisher today that clearly outlines the potential of GoldQuest. The stock soared as high as $1.80 in 2007 , giving it a market cap of over $100 million for a brief period, but the company has much more going for it today with a market cap of less than half that amount. Even though others have already said it, feel I must say thanks too. Nice interview. Perhaps interviews could contain some tougher questions without turning them into inquest. For example, “Is Cuban influence, as evidenced by medial teams, of concern?”

Love the interviews, the one on the Everton website with Andre was especially informative and gave me the confidence after doing my dd to go ahead and make the decision to purchase, turns out so far a good decision.
thanks greg

Excellent interview Jon. Bill Fisher sounds like a very solid guy who knows his gameplan and can execute it. Very happy with my investment with GQC and may add to it.

Fisher is as solid as they get in the industry – knows his stuff and gives the facts. The company has a clear game plan and is in the process of executing it. This is a MAJOR opportunity given the strong likelihood of a substantial increase in the resource at Escandalosa – they are going to follow the horizon and they have a great chance of expanding this deposit significantly north-south. If they’re able to build resources to a million ounces, and the likelihood of that seems very real given what is known to date, then you’re looking at a potential production scenario of 100,000 ounces a year. This is open-pit, near-surface, easy to extract. Fisher has already put a property into production in the DR through GlobeStar. GQC has other excellent properties in the DR as well. I got the impression from my discussion with Bill that this could be a big month for GQC with a) the announcement of a new President and CEO; b) 43-101 for the Toral zinc-lead-silver deposit; 3) initial assay results from Escandalosa. All 3 are pending. Market cap just over $40 million. Company already has over half a million 43-101 inferred gold ounces between Escandalosa and Las Animas, plus copper, zinc, and silver….PLUS 5 million tonnes (historical) of 9% zinc, 6% lead, and 45 g/t Ag at Toral that is about to be brought into the 43-101 category. Do the math here, folks, and do it quickly. I think this is one of the best opportunities we have presented. I like Everton in the DR as well.

Following up on GCQ. Am not able to find the size of the individual projects at their web site. Am I just not seeing this information? does not appear in their latest presentation. I do get the idea that while they have looked at over 7,000 sq kilometers that their combined properties are much more modest. Laas Animas is only two claims but not sure if claim size in the D.R. is the same as in Canada.
Can you help out?
