Eskay Heart of Gold Camp, Northwest British Columbia
9:30 pm Pacific
If there’s one district in Canada that can suddenly supercharge the exploration sector and the Venture Exchange, it’s none other than the prolific Eskay Camp in northwest British Columbia where multiple major discoveries since the 1980’s have solidified this area as one of the most mineralized parts of the entire planet.
Eskay Creek produced phenomenal grades (just over 3 million ounces of Gold @ 49.5 g/t and nearly 160 million ounces of Silver at 2,406 g/t) and that’s being followed up by Pretium Resources‘ (PVG, TSX) Brucejack mine which just recently commenced commercial production. Brucejack is projected to churn out approximately 500,000 ounces of Gold per year at an average grade of about 16 g/t while Pretium drills for additional deposits to the east. Meanwhile, Seabridge Gold’s (SEA, TSX) KSM hosts the world’s largest reserves of Gold and Copper with the company currently drilling for high-grade Gold to the west at its promising Iskut Project.
Given massive infrastructure improvements in the last few years, a healthier commodity sector and big dollars going into the ground, the Eskay Camp is in the midst of its own powerful new bull cycle phase.
Adjacent to the Iskut Project, Colorado Resources (CXO, TSX-V) is fervishly drilling its now 100%-owned KSP Project with technical prowess and military-style operational efficiency. KSP features the promising Inel zone and multiple prospective additional high-grade Gold target areas on a land package that fits the definition of “large scale” – 37 juniors owned portions of the now consolidated KSP in the 1980’s, and the property package to this day remains vastly under-explored despite CXO’s aggressive efforts since 2014. Hence, Goldcorp has just taken a nearly 15% ownership slice of CXO.
Helicopters are buzzing around like bees near a hive as nearly 10 companies are now carrying out drill programs in the broader Eskay Camp, increasing the odds of an important new discovery at any point over the coming weeks.
In the middle of this Camp, a junior that traded for as little as a nickel less than a year ago could be on the verge of a stunning high-grade Nickel sulphide discovery that SSR Mining (SSRM, TSX) may have missed by less than 30 meters when it was known as Silver Standard Resources and defined several Nickel-Copper-rich mineralized zones in shallow drilling at Nickel Mountain in the mid-1960’s. More analysis tonight in a subscriber-only piece regarding Garibaldi Resources‘ (GGI, TSX-V) unusually strong odds for a game-changing discovery, one that would rewrite the geological playbook for the entire Canadian Cordillera.
With “boots on the ground” in the Eskay Camp, BMR is delivering unparalleled coverage of developments and opportunities for junior resource investors in this world class district.

GGI starts drilling.
GARIBALDI COMMENCES DRILLING AT NICKEL MOUNTAIN
Further to its news release of Aug. 18, 2017, diamond drilling has commenced this morning at Garibaldi Resources Corp.’s 100-per-cent-owned E&L project at Nickel Mountain in the heart of the mineral-rich Eskay Camp in northwestern British Columbia.
Significantly, a follow-up surface electromagnetic survey completed by SJ Geophysics Ltd. supports the existence of a deep conductor, as detected by the recently completed VTEM (versatile time domain electromagnetic) airborne survey, beginning immediately below the historic E&L nickel-copper-rich mineralized zones at a depth of approximately 140 metres (anomaly D).
Volterra borehole EM will be performed upon the completion of the first drill hole to direct and guide diamond drill targeting.

Indeed, game on…and the ground geophysics confirms the conductor under the historic deposit from the VTEM Survey – everything is pointing to this being a textbook Nickel sulphide deposit that GGI is now drilling into with exceptionally high tenor, and you know what that means…

Jon… do you ever sleep?
Comment by Weatheritout80 — August 24, 2017 @ 5:33 am
Not nearly enough in recent days, weatheritout, but that’s ok…an historic period in this Camp…

Appreciate all the work!
Comment by Weatheritout80 — August 24, 2017 @ 5:37 am
Super Jon. Looks like all the boxes are ticked and then some. We are on the cusp of one exciting discovery!
Comment by Dan1 — August 24, 2017 @ 6:11 am
Let the game begin! This is what we all have been waiting for. Fasten your seat belt!
Comment by Kalkan — August 24, 2017 @ 6:28 am
Well, Kalkan, there’s really only one thing now the conductor could be, given the fresh information this morning, and that’s massive sulphides with the strong potential for exceptional grades with the high tenor…perfectly fits the model that Lightfoot has been describing, but the E&L will have its own Eskay-style special character perhaps including by unusual Gold-Silver grades for a Nickel sulphide system…Nickel and Copper in massive sulphides would be spectacular given the tenor…

Jon, where’s the volume? I expected a bit more (knowing full well those who wanted a position are in.) Any ideas on how is Regiocci’s promo plan going?
Comment by johnz — August 24, 2017 @ 7:02 am
JON: any comments on CSR at 18 cents? Also, THC up 18 cents! Thanks!
Comment by MERIDEX — August 24, 2017 @ 7:02 am
Loving it, Meridex…
Comment by Jon - BMR — August 24, 2017 @ 7:06 am
Don’t worry about the “promo” plan, Johnz…it launches as soon as the first hole cuts through massive sulphides below 140 m…the “D” in Anomaly “D” also stands for discovery, and that’s what’s about to unfold here…
Comment by Jon - BMR — August 24, 2017 @ 8:10 am
Can we expect to get there by early next week, Jon?
Comment by johnz — August 24, 2017 @ 8:33 am
That’s what I’m thinking, johnz…

Jon
Just noticed I didn’t have to log in to view the subsribers only info
Is there a problem with the site this morning?
Comment by Gregh — August 24, 2017 @ 9:56 am
Now that GGI has finally got the drill turning at the E&L, this is probably the most relaxed feeling I’ve had it months. Bound to get very exciting next week when we get to see the first core samples. Then all heck should break loose!
Comment by pole — August 24, 2017 @ 1:56 pm
Just a minor glitch that we sorted out, Gregh, as we adjust to our temporary new surroundings and Internet.
Comment by Jon - BMR — August 24, 2017 @ 2:54 pm
Jon, do you know if the drill was turning Wednesday evening or started Thursday morning? Also do you know if it’s turning 24 hours a day non-stop?
Comment by Dan1 — August 24, 2017 @ 4:21 pm
This morning, Dan1…like all companies up here, it’s 24 hours a day with two 12-hour shifts…
Comment by Jon - BMR — August 24, 2017 @ 4:26 pm
If that’s the case Jon, then the drill bit will be approaching 190 meters by tomorrow morning. 24X8. That’s average 8 meters per hour. Not sure the exact type of drill rig but Full Force website states the hyracore2000 rig with an NQ drill can drill 5 to 10 meters per hour I believe. So, its possible they will be cutting into the conductor sometime early tomorrow morning.
Comment by Dan1 — August 24, 2017 @ 4:51 pm
Dan, not even Colorado is drilling at a rate of 190 meters a day…that’s simply not the meterage companies up here get in 24 hours…my expectation is that the first hole at E&L could be completed by sometime over the weekend…we’ll see. One also has to account for the potential of slower drilling at the very beginning before a ramping up as the drill crews find a rhythm.
Comment by Jon - BMR — August 24, 2017 @ 4:55 pm
Ok, thanks Jon.
Comment by Dan1 — August 24, 2017 @ 4:57 pm
That’s good enough for me. Time to examine the core and light up the venture!
Comment by Dan1 — August 24, 2017 @ 4:59 pm
Well, I suspect they should be able to drill at least a 100 meters per day. So, by Sunday depending on how deep they plan to drill, we should be at least 350 to 400 meters. If massive are hit, I don’t think they will be able to keep that a secret, so its possible we may hear something from GGI by Monday or Tuesday.
Comment by Dan1 — August 24, 2017 @ 6:09 pm
GGI
Dan1, Monday is the day, not Tuesday. if MS are hit in hole 1, then Monday SP will go haywire coz the word would be out. if GGI don’t issue a NR ( which I doubt it) then market activity will be your gauging point.
