The 11th day of November in North America is a day that we set aside to remember the sacrifices that were made by our men and woman in uniform. In Canada we call it Remembrance Day and in the United States it is known as Veterans Day.
November 11th is the anniversary of the end of World War I and in both countries it is a national day of remembrance, a day that people take to remember not only those that lost their lives in wartime, but to remember all the men and woman that sacrificed themselves for the good of their country. Freedom is not free. Freedom comes at a cost and our men and woman that selflessly served their country paid for that cost. They have paid with their lives so that we all can enjoy the freedoms afforded to us in our respective countries. My hope is that the readers of BMR will take the time afforded to them, go out and support our young veterans, our old veterans, and our veterans that have passed. Show these men and women and their families that we love them and that we have not forgotten them. Go to a Remembrance Day service if you can. Most importantly, wherever you are on the morning of November 11 stop in quiet silence to remember all of our veterans. Please also remember those that are currently in active duty. May the Lord keep them safe.
Let us pray,
Jesus, thank you for our men and woman that have sacrificed their lives in service to their country. Lord, we thank you for their obedience to serve their fellow man. Lord, we do not understand war, we do not like war, and we know that it breaks your heart to see your creation fighting. Jesus, be with our men and woman that are serving in current conflict. Lord, be with their families, their Moms and Dads, their sons and daughters, their brothers and sisters, their husbands and their wives. Comfort them in ways that only you can. Give them your peace in knowing that wherever their loved ones are, so too are you. Jesus, especially be with those that have lost a loved one in the last year. This is their first Remembrance Day and it will be very hard for them. Jesus, you know that we live in a sinful world and we thank you that you gave your life as full payment for that sin. Jesus, help us, carry us, walk with us, comfort us, and guide us as we pause to remember our soldiers, our sailors, and our airmen. Jesus, help us to never forget them. Be with us today and always.
In your name we Pray,
Amen
LEST WE FORGET
thank you so much for this guys………

Mary Mother of Jesus, Every Believerâs Model of How to Welcome the Word In penetrating the mystery of the Word of God, Mary of Nazareth, from the moment of the Annunciation, remains the Teacher and Mother of the Church and the exemplar of every encounter with the Word by individuals or entire communities. She welcomes the Word in faith, mediates upon it, interiorizes it and lives it And Mary said, âBehold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.â (Luke 1:38). Indeed, Mary listened to and meditated upon the Scriptures; she associated them with Jesusâ words and the events which she discovered were related to his life. Isaac of Stella says: âIn the inspired Scriptures, what is said in a universal sense of the virgin mother, the Church, is understood in an individual sense of the Virgin Mary…. The Lordâs inheritance is, in a general sense, the Church; in a special sense, Mary; and in an individual sense, the Christian. Christ dwelt for nine months in the tabernacle of Maryâs womb; he dwells until the end of the ages in the tabernacle of the Churchâs faith. He will dwell for ever in the knowledge and love of each faithful soul.”
The Virgin Mary knows how to take into account what is happening around her and live the necessities of daily life, fully aware that what she receives as a gift from her Son is a gift for everyone. She teaches us not to stand by as idle spectators before the Word of Life, but to become participants, allowing ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit, who abides in believers. She âmagnifiesâ the Lord, discovering in her life the mercy of God, who makes her âblessed,â because âshe believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her from the Lordâ (Luke 1:45). She invites every believer to put Jesusâ words into practice: âBlessed are those who have not seen yet believeâ (John 20:29). Mary is the paradigm of the person who truly prays the Word and knows how to keep the lamp of faith burning in daily life. St. Ambrose observes that every Christian believer conceives and begets the Word of God. According to the flesh, Christ has only one mother; but, according to the faith, everyone gives him birth. Mary invite us to except the God will in our Life and humble youâre self Before the Lord and said; âBehold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.â [Luke 1:38] âHumble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.â[James4:10] âDid I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory ofGod?â [John 11:40]
And you also Proclaim the wonder of God with her in this Christmas: âMy soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.â [Luke 1:46-49] [Luke 1:46-49]
