BMR Morning Market Musings…

Gold has traded between $1,156 and $1,168 so far today…as of 11:00 am Pacific, bullion is up $2 an ounce at $1,160…Silver has climbed 28 cents to $15.40…Copper is up 3 pennies to $2.52…Crude Oil is $1.19 higher at $52.84 while the U.S. Dollar Index has added nearly half a point to 96.69

Growing indications that the Fed may not increase rates in September have to be considered supportive of Gold as Q3 progresses…the number of Americans filing for first-time unemployment benefits rose more than expected last week, data from the Labor Department showed this morning…weeks of uneven U.S. economic data, market turmoil in China and uncertainty over the effects of that, along with a Greek debt crisis in the euro zone, have convinced many investors that the time isn’t right for the Fed to tighten monetary policy…

Chinese authorities stepped in and did everything they could overnight to prevent the Shanghai from collapsing below critical support at 3400…their efforts succeeded, at least for now, and the index actually enjoyed its biggest single day gain in 6 years…the Shanghai soared 203 points or 5.8% to close at 3709 after losses in 8 of the previous 10 trading days…still, both indexes in China – the Shanghai and the smaller Shenzhen market – have lost about a third of their value in the past month…

Incredibly, however, a total of 1,473 companies, or 51% of all stocks on the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets, remain suspended…companies can request a trading halt under special circumstances (mainly takeovers or restructuring, but companies in China can find creative ways to get a halt and attempt to “ride out” market turmoil), or a stock exchange can impose a suspension if it sees a need to….

2-Year Shanghai Weekly Chart Update

Interestingly, the Shanghai on an intra-day basis hit the important Fib. support level bang-on yesterday at 3390…despite today’s bounce, with resistance very apparent just above 4000, this chart suggests there’s a strong likelihood of at least a re-test of the 3400 level – and perhaps a further sell-off to the next major support around 2650…everything will depend on how Chinese authorities handle matters and if they’re able to restore shaky investor confidence…

SSEC8

NASDAQ 1-Year Weekly Chart

The NASDAQ is once again just shy of the 5000 level after a 34-point advance as of 11:00 am Pacific…what this 1-year weekly chart shows is a strong band of Fib. and chart support between 4600 and 4800…note the rising MA(50) which is the 250-day SMA underpinning this market – it was a solid floor during last October’s mini-panic…

NASDAQ4

VIX 3-Year Weekly Chart

The VIX (in a comparative with the S&P 500) demonstrates that we’re clearly in a period of increased market volatility which could continue for at least a little while yet…this comes after months of low volatility…occasional spikes in the VIX have repeatedly met resistance in the low 20‘s…

The action in the S&P, however, is of some concern as the index has fallen below an uptrend line in place since late 2012 – a warning signal that should not be overlooked…

Today’s Equity Markets

Asia

As China surged, Japan’s Nikkei average moved up a modest 118 points overnight to close at 19856

Europe

European markets finished strongly higher today on renewed hopes regarding Greece…international creditors expect to receive concrete reform proposals from the debt-stricken country imminently (within a couple of hours according to a Reuters report)…

North America

The Dow has added 94 points as of 11:00 am Pacific…in Toronto, the TSX is down 34 points while the Venture, after touching its December low of 637 intra-day yesterday, is flat at 638

Doubleview Capital Corp. (DBV, TSX-V) Update

Not unexpectedly, Doubleview Capital (DBV, TSX-V) came under pressure immediately after resuming trading this morning following yesterday’s all-day halt triggered by an illegal blockade of the Hat Property by members of the Tahltan Nation including TCC President Chad Day…

Investors must understand, no important discovery in B.C. has ever turned into a mine without going through this type of First Nations “noise” and posturing, and that’s exactly what this is from the Tahltan…rumor has it, they are now planning to target Skenna Resources‘ (SKE, TSX-V) very promising high-grade Gold project less than 100 km southeast of the Sheslay District…Skenna, whose chairman is recent Canadian Mining Hall of Fame inductee Ron Netolitzky (Eskay Creek, Snip), announced this morning that drilling is underway at its Spectrum Project with 2 rigs on location and a total of 12,000 meters planned this summer…

The Sheslay District and Spectrum are the top 2 exploration plays in northwest British Columbia…Day’s agenda clearly appears to be to use these projects as “bargaining chips” with the B.C. government as discussions continue between the Tahltan and the province over a broad land management deal along the lines of what was worked out between the government and the Taku Nation in 2011

The Tahltan’s claim in its news release yesterday that “Sheslay mining exploration is unwanted” by its people damages Day’s credibility, especially considering the Tahltan’s own drilling company (and other related exploration services companies) have been intimately involved in the district since Doubleview started drilling the Hat for the first time ever in the spring of 2013…exploration in the Sheslay region has a rich history, and Doubleview, Garibaldi Resources (GGI, TSX-V) and Prosper Gold (PGX, TSX-V) were all granted multi-year permits from the B.C. Ministry of Energy and Mines with no objections from the Tahltan who were included in those permitting processes…

Not coincidentally, everything changed after DBV hole H-23

Doubleview asserted its rights this morning and also reported that the Tahltan blockade started when hole H-25, collared roughly 1 km from the Lisle Discovery area, was in a zone of Gold-Copper porphyry mineralization at 275 meters…that’s interesting information as a “hit” at Anomaly “A” will help confirm the robust new model for the Hat – specifically, that Anomalies “A”, “B” and “E” – spread over a wide area – are part of a single Gold-rich alkalic Copper porphyry system within a much larger Hat Complex…

A dramatic summer in the Sheslay district, in more ways than one, could be just beginning…much more on the Tahltan uprising and the stakes involved here in the coming days…

Defiance Silver Corp. (DEF, TSX-V) Update

High-grade drill results from Mexico can still generate investor interest, even with the Venture just above an all-time low, as Defiance Silver (DEF, TSX-V) demonstrated yesterday…results from a further 3 holes drilled at the company’s San Acacio deposit have extended the wide, high-grade mineralization encountered in the first 3 holes eastward by 100 meters…results included 674 g/t AgEq over a width of 7.25 m in SAD1508

DEF climbed a penny-and-a-half yesterday to 14.5 cents on one of its best volume days ever (687,000 shares)…

This 3-year weekly chart shows a gradual uptrend for DEF since a 2.5-cent low in early 2015…promising chart, especially considering current overall market conditions…as always, perform your own due diligence…

  8. SKE !!! rumor where you get that from ????Fieldwork, which commenced June 15, included resampling of historic core, soil sampling and prospecting under the direction of Jacques Stacey, MSc, PGeol, project manager. In addition, geological mapping is being led by Dr. Jim Oliver, PGeo, consultant.

Camp and drill pad construction is under way, and drilling is expected to begin on or about July 2. A total of 10,000 to 12,000 metres of drilling in 50 to 60 holes is planned for this field season, with holes averaging 200 m and varying from 50 to 350 m in depth. The drill program has been designed to expand the historic resource at the 500 Colour and Central zones, the latter of which includes the QC 1, QC 2, porphyry 1 and porphyry 2 structures. Other holes will test the East Creek zone and other outlying targets. A 43-101 resource estimate will be completed in fall 2015.

An archeological impact assessment (AIA) was completed between June 15 and 19 by Rescan Tahltan Environmental Consultants in conjunction with representatives of the Tahltan heritage resources environmental assessment team. The survey identified no archeological sites over the proposed drilling areas in the Central, 500 Colour and East Creek zones. Two previously identified sites of obsidian flakes are known on the property, but are well away from the proposed drilling areas. The company has agreed to implement a chance find procedure to protect any obsidian or other archeological materials that might be discovered during exploration. The company will also implement a mountain ungulate management and wildlife observation plan developed by Hemerra Envirochem Inc. The purpose is to minimize impacts of the company’s activity on goats, sheep, caribou and other wildlife that might be present in the area.

Skeena wishes to thank the Tahltan heritage resources environmental assessment team, the Ministry of Energy and Mines, and other B.C. government agencies for their co-operation in expediting the approval of this work program. The company intends to continue to work closely and co-operatively with representatives of the Tahltan Nation, and has committed to hire as many Tahltan people and contractors as possible.

  10. Wolfgang, that last paragraph is interesting. I think SKE has to many shares out though. I think Chad Day is trying to get a royalty percentage of the Shelsay, thats all this is about and I’m sure DBV will grant that in writing, especially if this is pointing toward world class.

  11. Jon, did you speak to Farshad today? I am wondering if he has any idea when this blockade will end and when they expect to be back drilling. If DBV has a legal right to drill, then I suspect it will won’t be long. No doubt, Farshad and possibly Regoci will likely sit down with the Chad Day & council to hammer out some sort of agreement but that could be done with drilling ongoing. It’s not like they are planning a mine yet. That begs the question, what will GGI do now? From the latest interview it looked like GGI was ready to start drilling at the Grizzly. The other thing is where is the Mexico update?

  20. Good day, Guy, obviously we all knew there would be some knee-jerk selling here…support for DBV very solid, stock went from weak hands into strong hands…no reason why this won’t begin to firm up again very quickly…people are beginning to rally behind Farshad, you can sense that…you can’t have one without the other – you can’t have success on the ground without encountering some radical native resistance at some point in this province, unfortunately…it’s a bridge that always has to be crossed sooner or later as a project attains a certain level, and that time has arrived for DBV…but Chad Day IMHO is on very unstable ground with how he has handled this – complete misrepresentation of the facts, with even growing divisions within the Tahltan over his reckless and chaotic approach…so much more to emerge here…

    Comment by Jon - BMR — July 9, 2015 @ 5:13 pm

  21. if DBV has all the permits in place and has the legal right to be on the land and drilling, I would suggest they file a lawsuit for a large sum of money, against Mr. day and his followers. The claim could be for damages related to loss of work for current employees and all rental equipment, defamation of character for accusations of being on the land unlawfully and how it has affected DBV and their stock price. Also, lay a charge for threats towards DBV employees and whatever else Farshad can think of. Maybe if this snot nosed young Mr. Day has some money to lose with his actions he might be a little more cautious with his actions.

    Comment by Bryan — July 9, 2015 @ 5:34 pm

  22. Bryan, yes…I would agree that there are grounds here for major legal action…the B.C. government has made it clear that DBV has every legal right to be on the land and drilling (same for GGI), so those are options that are available…at the moment, however, Farshad is focused on getting drilling resuming ASAP – and there are certain avenues for that including but not limited to an immediate court injunction which he would easily win…let’s see how they strategize this over the coming days and what GGI has to say also…

Like a lot of 28-year olds are capable of doing, Chad Day has gotten a little too cocky here with his recent success re: Red Chris and has overplayed his hand…that’s a recipe for trouble for this young man, and a show of inexperience coming fresh out of school…he was building some respect in different circles and now he is starting to lose credibility…the resignation of his THREAT project manager, who was with the Tahltan for 10 years, is a clear example…

    Comment by Jon - BMR — July 9, 2015 @ 6:08 pm

  23. My thoughts are Farshad will try diplomatic negotiations first that would allow DBV to go back to drilling but I don’t think Mr. Day wants that as it would allow the government to just sit on it’s hands. Mr. Day wants some kind of agreement and he will try anything to get it. By stopping work at DBV Mr. Day is forcing DBV to pressure the government to act to resolve issues regarding the Tahltan. If the issues aren’t resolved DBV may seek a court injunction as it appears they have every right to drill. It’s hard to figure out when we don’t have all the facts . I any event I’m hoping for a speedy resolution so they can get back to work before the snow flies. Just my thoughts.

    Comment by Les — July 9, 2015 @ 6:16 pm

  24. Farshad has had excellent relations with Tahltan elders as he has been prospecting that area for over twenty years. Maybe those good relations are about to end with the presence of Chad Day.

  30. It looks like DBV is finished for the summer if the Chad Day statement is correct. See below.

Facebook Post from President Chad Day:

Meduh to our Elders (Alice Hamlin, Kitty Brown, August Brown, Nancy Mcghee) and our Vice President, Heather Hawkins, for coming together on Tuesday evening as we flew out to Sheslay and confronted Doubleview Capital Corporation and their President/CEO. We all took turns speaking to the company respectfully and made it 100% clear that the Tahltan people are not going to support exploration or mining activities in Sheslay. Our Elders spoke of the area’s history and pointed to the hunting grounds, birthplaces and burial grounds of their relatives and our Ancestors.
The Tahltan Nation issued no permits for these exploration activities and will remain united and determined to protect this area. The company was well-aware of the sensitivity of Sheslay and chose to ignore our numerous requests to cease activities over the summer. I hope other exploration companies take notice and are more respectful towards the Tahltan Nation in the future. We are not opposed to all exploration activities and developments, but we will make sure certain areas, such as Sheslay, remain protected for our future generations.

Together we danced, sang, and prayed at the drill site and at the camp; we also promised to continue to work together to keep Sheslay safe. Three of us stayed behind and we returned home today after the company made a commitment to cease their activities for the remainder of the summer.

    Comment by Andrew — July 9, 2015 @ 8:27 pm

  31. Testfreak, while everyone was going crazy over Colorado’s North ROK discovery in 2013, and during a research visit to the area, it became apparent to us, before anyone else actually, that the Sheslay district to the west held much better exploration potential, and we were proven correct. So at that time in the market cycle, we made a conscious decision that we were going to focus a lot of our attention on 1 district that could emerge as a new world class discovery region. In early 2014, indeed, DBV made an exciting discovery nearly 10 km southeast of the Star deposit that sparked a major staking rush – one of the few that we’ve seen in Canada in recent years. The stock price increased 10-fold. And even today, at 12.5 cents, it’s still significantly above where it was at the end of 2013 – how many Venture companies can say that? Doubleview has an outstanding chance at discovering a major deposit and now they have one of the top copper-gold porphyry specialists in the business, Dr. Razique, who was recruited from Antofagasta, which could very possibly get involved in the district.

Garibaldi’s Grizzly, meanwhile, has enormous discovery potential given the size of the land package and the target signatures which are very similar to those at the Hat and the Star. On the exploration front in Canada, there are few areas with the potential of the Sheslay district, and countless geologists have come to that conclusion. So this is not a case of “pumping” DBV or GGI (we’ve received absolutely no compensation of any sort from them). We made a great call here in 2013 on this district before anyone else, and we’re convinced this is going to develop into a major new mining camp.

GGI has also made an interesting discovery in Mexico. Its stock price went from a nickel in 2013 to over 30 cents in a year. It could easily run right back up the ladder given their portfolio of high quality projects.

When you say don’t get married to one stock and sit on for years, you’re absolutely correct. In the junior resource sector, that’s not the way to make money. There’s a lot of volatility in this industry and you need to take that into account and take profits off the table when you can, or have a trading position and a core position. You also have to focus on the 10% or 20% of companies that are truly legit and have a real shot at big success. 80% of the companies on the Venture are garbage. In the case of dilution, GGI has done but one financing in 6 years – ONE financing. DBV has also been very careful to avoid dilution. No rollbacks here. If you don’t like the junior resource sector, you’re visiting the wrong site.

Despite our heavy focus on the Sheslay district, we have also spent a considerable amount of time on other great plays and opportunities in the markets, keeping in mind our niche is the junior resource sector and commodities. Occasionally we’ll find a non-resource deal we really like, such as BLO which went from a nickel to 77 cents in four months.

  32. Jon

have you heard anything/news on WRR? are they going to start drilling anytime soon?
    thanks

    Comment by Greg — July 9, 2015 @ 8:51 pm

  33. After having a day or so to digest the news from the Tahltan it’s become obvious that this was already built into the price of Garibaldi as it barely went down after the news. I really don’t think the Tahltan will get much public sympathy given that they seemed to have no problem with the drilling before but now they do? You need to be consistent, it’s obviously a power play for more money. I think that’s pretty clear now. I didn’t see that at first but obviously Jon and many others who have more experience with how things play out in BC saw this right from the start. The big unknown is how long will it take to get resolved and at what cost. I don’t own any DBV but feel bad for Farshad who has obviously risked a lot. He doesn’t need this crap.

    Comment by Danny — July 9, 2015 @ 9:35 pm

  34. Danny, you’re absolutely correct that this is a power-play by Chad Day – vs. the government, and the companies, and that became clear after we researched this prior to when we broke the story in early June. However, I did not believe that Chad Day would actually do a blockade. Obviously neither did his project manager for land management who we interviewed yesterday – she said, specifically, she was not aware of any action that was going to be taken (she resigned effective June 30). I believe Chad has made a major miscalculation here, and we are hearing tonight that some elders in Telegraph Creek are embarrassed by what has occurred with this blockade. We also have an exclusive interview with the head driller, who is a Tahltan. We’re hoping to put portions of that together for tomorrow. Very revealing.

I also spoke with Farshad this evening after seeing a Facebook post by Chad. Farshad unequivocally denies the claim by Chad that DBV has committed to suspend drilling for the summer. That is not the case at all, he told me, and this was also confirmed by Dr. Razique who I spoke with as well. They are ready to start-up again on a moment’s notice. For the next several days they will obviously be weighing all options on how best to proceed, and Farshad told me he stated to Chad that the Tahltan will be notified as soon as drilling resumes. DBV is not conceding any ground here as their news release confirmed.

There are a series of inconsistencies in statements and claims put out by Chad Day that are rapidly mounting – this is a 28-year old kid, fresh out of school, with blockade culture in his DNA and an apparent chip on his shoulder. He’s trying to put on a show for his people and claim a victory on Facebook that has a strong chance of turning into a disaster for him.

I’m not saying this simply to back up Farshad. I’m calling it as I see it, based on all the evidence. Keep in mind, Chad’s project manager for land management (with the Tahltan for 10 years) just bailed on him. That says a lot. Chad’s actions have been chaotic and irrational, and could have legal consequences. He has crossed the line.

With regard to your comment about all this being reflected already in the GGI share price, no. Almost all the selling in GGI over the past couple of months was from Sprott and flow-thru funds. The dip was entirely due to that, and again, no one thought Chad Day would be foolish enough to run a blockade. Some noise, yes, but a blockade – no.

  39. A lot of misconceptions on this situation especially when it comes from Chad Day! BMR has been doing a good job in revealing the underlying cause of it. I remain confident that they have something big on their hands…..this 28 year old is up for re-election and wants a piece of the pie! Don’t believe what comes from him as he has a hidden agenda and his motives and reasons don’t stand a chance. The people on the reserve are not all behind him and many are mad and embarrassed that he has broken an MOU that DBV had with them which was signed under the previous president.

If this was actually an ancient burial ground like Chad says they would have never gives an MOU in the 1st place and would have protested a very long time ago….years ago when companies moved in staking claims….plus old burial grounds would have been identified/registered at the BC government and no permits would have been given for drilling in the first place!

A lot of what Chad does and says is to try to get more people on his side.

Just have a look at my previous posts from John P Nole….that says it all!

  42. Hey Jon, sorry to be a pain. Still haven’t received the ealert with the Dbv video?

    Comment by Sam — July 10, 2015 @ 5:25 am

  43. Jon, I bet they will offer Chad Day and his group a 3 to 5% royalty and drilling begins again. We all know this is going to blow over.

    Comment by dave — July 10, 2015 @ 5:27 am

  44. No got my alert either.

    Comment by Ivan Borzinsky — July 10, 2015 @ 5:27 am

  45. No problem, Sam, our apologies. The rest of that batch is going out ASAP. Our team has been absolutely inundated as you can imagine with the events of this story, and last night we were caught up with a major interview that we’re trying to post also as quickly as possible. So please bare with us. I’m not complaining or making excuses, but I was personally actually up all night the other night and got 2 hours sleep last night. Anyway, we’ll be getting caught up on everything as quickly as we can, certainly over the weekend. We’re also now starting to get inquiries from other media. This story is going to break out in a major way.

  46. Dave, you could be on to something there, but I doubt it would be as high as 5%.

    Comment by Jon - BMR — July 10, 2015 @ 5:32 am

  47. Farshad has put a lot of time and money into this…..he knows what he is siting on and will not let this drag on or abandon the project. If required to let this move forward and prevent any further issues, as a shareholder I approve giving them a small piece of the pie…….in the end I think there will be plenty left! It will be a won win situation.

    Comment by d4 — July 10, 2015 @ 5:40 am

  48. Farshad is as determined as ever, and the drill is ready to start turning again on a moment’s notice. Let’s see what develops over the next several days, will be interesting to say the least. I’m always stated this because I learned the hard way – do not underestimate Farshad. I underestimated Farshad in 2013 – will not make that mistake again.

BMR has conducted an exclusive interview with main Tahltan driller for the Hat. Very revealing in terms of his perspective on things.

    Comment by Jon - BMR — July 10, 2015 @ 5:43 am

  49. Jon- anything else you can share from your conversations with Farshad and Dr Razique? How deep was h24 drilled to?

    Comment by d4 — July 10, 2015 @ 5:52 am

  50. OK, 2% but lets get it done and get those drills turning.

To some very few who think I am enjoying this happening to DBV – No, because I think they are onto something. Did I benefit by buying cheap shares, yes. And all of you have the same chance right now to buy right where I did. Do I enjoy people losing money, NO. But nobody has lost if you haven’t sold. If your bitter at me because I bought lower than you, I can’t help that, this is not my fault nor did I parade to B.C. from Atlanta Ga. and convince Chad Day to do this. So I say grow up and lets move on. GLTA

  51. Dave-welcome to the family! Glad that you are finally a shareholder and see that they are onto something. …..

    Comment by d4 — July 10, 2015 @ 5:58 am

  52. Hope this story goes viral… how can we make that happen??? the First Nation rhetoric that happens everywhere needs to be understood and stopped in its tracks…
this is needed for both sides to ‘get it’!!

    Comment by Jeremy — July 10, 2015 @ 5:59 am

  53. d4, let me just say two things: 1) I suspect Dr. Razique has to be extremely pleased with how his model is holding up given the information that was provided re: what was happening in the drilling up to the point it was halted as referenced in the news release. 2) Dr. Razique was in a very upbeat mood when I spoke with him last night. Farshad was also very strong, and we have a quote from him to post this morning.

    Comment by Jon - BMR — July 10, 2015 @ 6:01 am

  54. D4 – I think the hole they are drilling right now has hit something big. I think the drillers leaked it to Mr. Day. He sees an opportunity to force Farshad’s hand and thinking this could be a significant mine down the road, he wants a steady flow of money rather than his people just getting paid for working. Same thing happened with Red Chris but I don’t know that outcome. If Day missed his chance with Red Chris to obtain a royalty and he saw how big it became and he missed his chance, he is now targeting DBV so as to not make that mistake again.

    Comment by dave — July 10, 2015 @ 6:14 am

  55. D4 and to all, one more thing. I took a starter position yesterday. I think the longer this takes, DBV could drift lower. So I say to all of you. If you put all of your money in this at a higher price, then find some more money and be ready to buy more.

TA perspective right now. .14 has become resistance and I doubt it drops below .08 – Just trying to help inform what I see could happen.

Find some money and be ready to buy cause when DBV resumes drilling (and they will), DBV is going to move quickly.

    Comment by dave — July 10, 2015 @ 6:20 am

  56. Jon do you know if Chad Day and Farshad continuous to talking for arrive at an agreement

    Comment by guy delisle — July 10, 2015 @ 6:36 am

  57. Dave -point 50 comment…totally agree. Chris Day has eyes and ears on the ground and he wants a piece of the pie! Like Jon said this situation further proves there is something big at the HAT or they would just let then drill in peace like they have done for the last few years.

    Comment by d4 — July 10, 2015 @ 6:44 am

  58. Guy, as Farshad stated in his news, all options for DBV are on the table, and this involves I’m sure further immediate discussions/negotiations with the Tahltan, potential government intervention, and even a possible court injunction if that’s what it takes. I suspect we’re going to know a lot more next week. It would be interesting to hear from GGI on this, I’m sure we will.

The reaction of the nervous nellies amazes me because their logic makes no sense. Those individuals who have sold DBV were obviously rooting for exploration success for the company. Well, the Tahltan uprising is actually a demonstration of that success. You can’t have one without the other. So why would you be nervous about the Tahltan putting up a blockade? It’s merely a confirmation of value. Those who dumped Imperial Metals because of protests at Red Chris made a mistake. Same thing here IMHO.

    Comment by Jon - BMR — July 10, 2015 @ 6:54 am

  59. D4 – good point, exactly.

    Comment by dave — July 10, 2015 @ 7:19 am

  60. Jon – I realize the DBV issue is a priority right now and rightly so. When do you expect to continue with releasing the remaining parts for the GGI videos?
    Thank you.

    Comment by Andrew — July 10, 2015 @ 7:21 am

  61. The interview with the drillers should put a different perspective on matters and shed some light on what Chad Day and his group are all about.
Thanks Jon and BMR crew for all your hard work for without that we would all be very much in the dark.

    Comment by Les — July 10, 2015 @ 7:21 am

  62. Jon – I agree. The drillers tipped off Day. He said, oh CHIT, how do we get some of this.

    Comment by dave — July 10, 2015 @ 7:22 am

  63. Dave – I doubt the drillers are in favour of Day’s actions and would hardly be supplying him with information for that purpose, howervr a few casual comments by anyone on the drill crew would be all it takes.

    Comment by Les — July 10, 2015 @ 7:39 am

  64. Les….you just need one to tip him off …..it could have been unintentional.

    Comment by d4 — July 10, 2015 @ 7:45 am

  65. Les, true, good point

    Comment by dave — July 10, 2015 @ 7:49 am

  66. Jon- Any indication how far the step-out was for hole 25, from hole 24.
Why would Chad risk his reputation, playing hard poker, unless he is in the know……

    Comment by Bob — July 10, 2015 @ 7:51 am

  67. To get the stock seriously moving, it may take a combined NR from both DBV and Tahltan on a negotiated agreement. Playing hard ball is not a win-win scenario. As long as there is a risk of interruption by the Tahltan, investors will remain careful. My 2 cents.

    Comment by Abic — July 10, 2015 @ 7:52 am

  68. D4 , you are correct and Chad Day would want to hear anything about those holes.

    Comment by Les — July 10, 2015 @ 7:53 am

  69. Bob, the news release stated both holes were collared approximately 1 km northwest of the Lisle Zone…possibly, they may have been drilled from the same location, off the same pad, with one hole drilled in 1 direction and the other hole drilled in the other direction…in any event, perhaps Dr. Razique was giving us all a subtle clue without going into much detail that yes, indeed, they have hit at A-2 and his model is correct…interesting, Chad Day arrives on the scene to the drill site for the first time ever, following H-23, as critical step-out holes 24 and 25 are being drilled…THINK ABOUT THAT, EVERYONE…THINK ABOUT THAT REAL HARD AND WHAT THAT REALLY MEANS.…my most important comment for the day.

    Comment by Jon - BMR — July 10, 2015 @ 8:18 am

  70. If you’re going to negotiate a Royalty, which they have on Red Chris,
you’re going to get the best deal early on, before the discovery is announced,
    and this they know.

    Comment by Bob — July 10, 2015 @ 8:23 am

  71. Have you been in touch with Steve Regoci Jon? This obviously impacts on his plans for drilling and also Tahltan will be looking for a deal with him as well.

    Comment by Tom UK — July 10, 2015 @ 8:46 am

  72. There is more than 1 reason for insisting that the drill contractor be Tahltan!

    Comment by Bob — July 10, 2015 @ 9:13 am

  73. Yes, Tom, spoke to him briefly and if I get lucky and can get downtown today, will try to stop in at their office…like Farshad, he’s not pleased with this Tahltan action, though he added that again this is another stamp of value, and reiterated what he said in the recent interview…safe to assume we’ll probably see some GGI news soon and Regoci’s tone was totally consistent with the interview and article we ran at the beginning of the week…

Just a short note, again we’re forced to post on a slightly delayed basis this morning…approximately 11 am Pacific, due to important outgoing and incoming calls surrounding the Sheslay situation…

    Comment by Jon - BMR — July 10, 2015 @ 9:14 am

  74. Thanks Jon, looking forward to the next instalment of the interview when you get a chance during this very busy period for you. Some news of what is happening in Mexico would be very welcome so hopefully something will be announced next week by GGI.
